WATER TOWN SWIM SCHOOL
The only class in India where kids as young as 6 months old are taught by specialized and certified teachers. American lady, Maria Di Fiore, who has been teaching swimming for over 15 years and specializes in child development with a degree in psychology. Classes are taught across Delhi NCR in various schools and hotels. The parent and child class (yes, daddy’s are allowed or grandparents!) size is limited to 6 students, ensuring individual attention and varying degrees of customization. Babies and toddlers will love all the singing, toys and games that Water Town Swim School uses to teach their classes.

KHAZAN SINGH SWIMMING ACADEMY
Named after the swimming legend Khazan Singh, the stadium offers clean and hygienic pool facilities. A perfect training ground for both beginners and seasoned swimmers, the pool is clean, equipped with efficient staff, and lives up to international standards. They have coaching for first time swimmers too.

GULMOHAR PARK
Swim season kicked in in April, so get cracking! Membership is available on a daily, monthly, three months or six-monthly basis. The pool is huge; 30ft by 60ft, with the deepest end being 8ft. Ask for a coach if you’re looking for lessons.

DR SHYAMA PRASAD MUKHERJEE SWIMMING POOL (POPULARLY KNOW AS TALKOTORA)
One of the oldest places to swim in town, they have three main Olympic sized swimming pools. The pools are functional all year round, have temperature control facilities, as well as diving facilities. In order to swim here, you’ll need to pass a basic test with a 100-meter swim; coaching is only offered to people who are equipped with the basics of swimming. Rates differ with age, and trials are held on Tuesdays and Fridays.

The complex houses a large, 8-lane Olympic-sized pool, where they cater to beginners, and also offer coaching classes.

SIRI FORT SPORTS COMPLEX
One of the more popular spots to swim, the pool here is clean and well maintained and is Olympic sized. Apart from great trainers, you can also enjoy a host of other facilities, like towels and even swimming gear. To swim here, you must apply for a temporary three-month membership, and pay an additional monthly charge. Forms come out on the last Monday of every month, and the demand is huge, so dive in early!

NEETI BAGH CLUB
The pool is small, with the deepest end being just 6ft, but it’s clean and hygienic. Coaching classes are run by Raj Swimming Academy, for both children and adults. Some parent-kid bonding time is in order! They even have a kiddy pool for babies below 4 years of age.

SURYA HOTEL
The Surya Hotel provides a huge, Olympic size swimming pool to the city. You can swim around showing off your skills or learn some new ones with hands-on coaching available at the pool. The coach Mr. Pradeep is great for younger kids. However, your child should at least be 5 years before they take the plunge!

We can’t get over the temperature-controlled swimming facility at Noida. With over 20 certified coaches and Underwater Swim Analysis, this 25 meter by 13 meters pool is very serious about technique, style, and speed.
